My What Big Eyes You Have!

This 3rd place winning shot at the May 2009 HUB competition, came from a wonderful day of shooting at the Raptor Trust, in Millington, NJ.

For a fee, they host 2 private bird shoots a year for a group of up to 10 photographers. In 2 hours, they bring out 6 magnificent birds, from the kestrel to the red tailed hawk. They gave a history of each bird and talked about their species and habitats. It was informative and productive! Here's the shot:

Creative Challenge Winners- Body Language

Webster’s Dictionary defines body language as the gestures, movements, and mannerisms by which a person or animal communicates with others. Our editors enjoyed reviewing all the ”body language” entries submitted over last two weeks and expanded the winner’s list to five (though we had a tie for 5th place).

Hi! Welcome to my new blog. I am a member of the Webshots photo community and you can see my pictures at http://community.webshots.com/user/kidlib1.

Every other week (previously it was every week), Webshots hosts a creative challenge, where members can post up to 3 photos based on a particular topic. Winners are announced on Tuesdays. The next winner will be chosen on August 4.

With this blog, I will post the winning entries, plus my entries, and maybe a bonus shot or two. In off weeks I will put up previous challenges, or one of my award winning or favorite shots.
