I just wanted to share the happy news that one of the photos I had taken at the Lakota Wolf Preserve last month, a close up shot of a howling wolf, was featured today on the outdoors channel of Webshots! This is my first feature in any Webshots channel. I had my Halloween album featured last year, but never an individual photo.

It will be on the page for the next week at http://outdoors.webshots.com

If you look at it after today, Wednesday, the wolf will be in one of the smaller boxes off to the right side. You can still click on the photo to see it regular size. Once there, you can view the rest of the album if you wish.

Oh What a Night!

Hello my friends! How are you? Hope you're well.

I just got back from a ridiculous night at my HUB Camera Club. We had an open competition, which meant that we could submit photos of anything we wanted- 2 color and 3 black and white.

I ended up winning 3 ribbons tonight! Both color shots won as did one of my black and whites.

This shot of a howling wolf came in 3rd:

I was doubly pleased with that win because it was a mixed competition where the beginner and advanced entries were all pooled together because there wasn't quite enough between the two to have separate competitions. More often than not an advanced member wins, naturally. I'll take the exception!

The next competition is a state one on 2/8. If anything happens there I'll let you know. That's a hard one to get ribbons at since the top of the tops enter, but with 3 judges, anything's possible.
