I had visited Rockport & Gloucester, Massachusetts, some years ago and photographed one of the sunrises.  It was really beautiful.  I just recently discovered this photo.

Though my friend and I were not able to get to the 9/11 Memorial, I did get this picture of the Freedom Tower.  It looks beautiful!  Next time we'll get to the Memorial.  I lost 5 friends and acquaintances that day.  Never forgotten!

Black Bear

This cinnamon black bear was seen at the Bear Mountain Zoo in NY.  I was fascinated to learn that black bears in the wild can give birth to black or brown colored bears.  Most times, however, the mother leaves the brown cub to fend for itself, which is why they are so rarely seen in the wild.
